What is the perfect Macro split? 

Short answer is there is none!

I often get asked about what the best or ideal macro ratio is, and just like fitness there is no one size fits all when it comes to the right macros or calories needed.

 

However, a macro ratio split I do find works for metabolic and hormonal health is the following.

60 to 70% Carbohydrates

20 to 30% Protein

10 to 15% Fats

 Use the above macros as a rough estimate to portion each meal. I say rough estimate, as we are all bio individual and what works for one person make not work for another.

All of the macro nutrients play an Important role and are equally as essential.

Finding the right macros for you takes time and even when you think you’ve found them, they will change as our energy expenditure and life changes! The key is to focus on making BALANCED meals that contain all of the macronutrients.
