The order in which you eat your food matters.

I’m not one for promoting food rules but this little hack is the for regulating blood sugar. Ever notice if you eat just carbs or a carb heavy meal you often crash  an hour or so later/feel super hungry and maybe a bit shaky?

To prevent insulin spikes and regulate your blood sugar try this.

1.     Eat your veggies first!

The fiber in the veggies not only help you feel fuller but also help your body with the absorption of glucose from the carbohydrates.

2. Protein and fats. These help slow down the absorption of the carbs that are about to be eaten.

3. Carbohydrates.

Treat them like a dessert. Eating the carbohydrates after the veggies and proteins leads to less blood sugar and insulin spikes:). Regulating your blood sugar is key for optimal health, be that metabolic or hormonal.

So if you’re someone that struggles with:

Fatigue after meals/during the day, anxiety/ mood swings or big hunger crashes and sugar craving: This little hack could be for you.
